In case you didn’t know, …2/3 of our little studio are Virgos (thank goodness, because they’re so damn good at setting up systems — not to mention keeping plants alive!).
We’ll be celebrating their birthdays with one of Amanda and Mandi's all time favorite cocktails, the Bijou. It’s another one of those super straight-forward sippers that is perfect to make at home — equal parts strong, sweet, and interesting — just like a Virgo.
They said they won’t judge if you just build this one in a glass and top it with some ice, but the Scorpio in me might. Hey, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.
Virgo Season:
Bijou Cocktail
1 oz gin
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz herbal liqueur (traditionally Green Chartreuse, but we like to sub out for Accompani Flora Green, from our friends at Straightaway now and again)
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a brandied cherry. Enjoy!
